Why Are You Creative?

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the project "Why Are You Creative?" the Museum für Kommunikation (Museum for Communication) is bringing together a wide variety of works by prominent people to explore creativity.

Hermann Vaske posed the question "Why Are You Creative?" to various artists and celebrities and received a wide variety of answers. According to a drawing by the artist Damian Hirst, his creative origin lies in the male and female genital organs. For director Quentin Tarantino, creativity is a gift from God, for writer Günter Grass it's a necessity: "Because I have to."
