Cheese Berlin

Cheese fair "Cheese Berlin"

At Cheese Berlin, Berliners can get to know and enjoy a large variety of artisanal cheeses in Markthalle Neun.

Cheese Berlin is one of the most important meeting places for artisan cheese. It took place for the first time in November 2012 and was an immediate success, attracting around 7,000 visitors. Under the motto "Everything you can make from milk", around 60 selected producers, affineurs and traders from the Berlin region, Germany and all over Europe offer high-quality cheese for tasting and purchase.

Specialty Cheeses

Guests include cheese makers from Italy, Austria, Switzerland, France, the Netherlands, Iceland, Uruguay, Poland, Germany, France, Spain, Belgium, Ireland, England and Turkey. They will be presenting over 500 types of cheese and specialities such as La Vastedda della Valle del Belice, Oscypek, Gorgonzola, cheese made from volcanic eruptions and "natural cheese". In addition to tastings, the programme includes lectures, discussions and an exhibition on the subject of cheese.

Program

Visitors can immerse themselves in the world of cheese varieties and their production in 35 program items, such as stage discussions, tastings, seminars, tours, a live cheese performance, and an exhibition.
