Flughafen Tegel

For four days in September, the group exhibition "Departure" in an air cargo hall at the former Tegel Airport shows contemporary works that enter into a dialogue with the transformative site.

The exhibition series «Räume» stands for the dialogue between architecture and art. With contemporary positions, it occupies places that have lost their accessibility, are about to be demolished or are waiting for the change of meaning of an upcoming restructuring. The third edition of the series takes us to the former air cargo hall of Tegel Airport (TXL), which has not been in operation since November 2021.

"Departure - Exhibition «Räume III» at the former Tegel Airport" shows works by Maia Friend, Lennart Grau, Andreas Mühe, Albert Weis, Antoinette Adams, Gavin Lynch, Olaf Nicolai, Katja Koeberlin, Y-ul Suh, Sinta Werner, Johanna Keimeyer, Sven Vollbrecht, Maxim Brandt and Halle Frost, among others.
