30 years fall of the Wall: Open-air exhibitions
4 - 10 November 2019
To mark the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall and the Peaceful Revolution, seven open-air exhibitions are planned at historic locations in Berlin.
With the aim of inhibiting the spread of the coronavirus, extensive rules of distance and hygiene apply in Berlin. If you have any questions regarding events, please contact the respective organizer directly or visit the website of the event location. Further information »
The historic locations representing key events of the Peaceful Revolution are Kurfürstendamm,
Brandenburg Gate, Schlossplatz,
Alexanderplatz, Gethsemane Church,
East Side Gallery and the former Stasi headquarters. For the open-air exhibitions, 3D video projections of historical pictures and film recordings, animations and sound installations that allow visitors to delve into the time of the Peaceful Revolution are scheduled. Admission is free.
