Europe's largest zoo will be bathed in Christmas lights again this year. The historical Friedrichsfelde Palace is at the heart of the luminous Christmas tour.

A festive light spectacle in the east of the city: After the Christmas Garden in the Botanical Garden, Christmas at the Tierpark is Berlin's second large-scale light installation.

Rediscover the Tierpark this Christmas

Visitors can take a two-kilometre circular walking tour through the colourfully illuminated park at Christmas time. A total of 30 light sculptures will be on display. Illuminated treetops, shining stars along the way and light shows on the water lead the way to the festively illuminated Friedrichsfelde Palace. A «poetic fire garden» and a wide range of culinary delights complete the Christmas experience.

Highlights for Children at Christmas in the Tierpark

The approximately two-kilometer-long circular trail has numerous highlights in store for families in particular. If the colorful and glittering illuminations and sculptures make children's eyes light up, there's no stopping the joy of a ride on the nostalgic steam carousel.
