For Christmas Garden, the Botanical Garden in Berlin is transformed into a glowing fairytale landscape with all kinds of light shows, magic forests and 3D illuminated figures.

Starting on November, the Botanical Garden in Dahlem will once again invite visitors to take a spectacular evening stroll through a sparkling sea of lights at the "Christmas Garden Berlin."

Christmas Lights in the Botanical Garden

The approximately two-kilometre-long circular walk takes visitors past more than 30 light installations, allowing them to spend a peaceful evening in a dreamlike setting. A specially composed ‘Christmas Garden’ song accompanies guests on their journey through the illuminated garden landscape.

At the heart of the exhibition is the Great Tropical House, which, together with the Italian Garden, shines as a comprehensive audiovisual work of art combining music, projections and floods of light. A three-dimensional sea of lights also unfolds across 3,500 square metres. Further stops along the circular route include a water display with video projections and the Enchanted Forest of Infinity with its colourfully illuminated trees. The finale is the ‘Dance of Lights’, which fills the night sky with sweeping arcs of light.
