The European Athletics Championships 2018 will not only take place in the stadium: Athletes are also fighting for the title on Breitscheidplatz in the City West.

Sports fans can experience European Championships in Athletics also outside the Olympic Stadium: the Breitscheidplatz, centre of the City West, will become an arena for six days. At the sports event 38 award ceremonies, the men's shot put qualification and the marathon and walking competitions will take place. You can see the schedule of the award ceremonies here.

3000 spectators can join in the excitement of public viewing

The competitions will be broadcast from the Olympic Stadium so that sports fans in the city centre do not miss anything. Around the sports festival there is a full programme with interviews, music, shows and several church services in the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church. Every day from 22:00 there is also the "Golden Hour" with interesting guests and prominent moderators.
