Information about the Commercial Central Register

Companies are required to present an extract from the Commercial Central Register in certain situations (e.g. in the context of public tender processes).

The Commercial Central Register contains negative entries about companies (fining decisions, operating bans), while the Company Register of eInformation is merely a list of the companies active in Berlin. Information from the Commercial Central Register is therefore not available via eInformation, but only from the Federal Office of Justice in Bonn(https://www.bundesamt.de/DE/Home/homepage_node.html).

If you would like to request an extract from the CCR about yourself as a natural person, please contact one of the Citizens’ Offices in Berlin (https://service.berlin.de/standorte/buergeraemter/). This does not have to be the local Citizens’ Office for the company’s registered premises, but you may choose any branch in Berlin. You do not need to make an appointment to apply for information from the CCR.

If you require an extract from the CCR about a legal entity, please submit your application to the competent Public Order Office for the company premises (https://service.berlin.de/standorte/ordnungsaemter/).

A fee of EUR 13 is charged for the extract.

You can also request the information online from the Federal Office of Justice: https://www.fuehrungszeugnis.bund.de/. However, to do so you will need the new identity card and card reader.
