Spring arrives in March and brings colour back into the city after rather grey weeks. With temperatures averaging up to 8.2 degrees Celsius and almost four hours of sunshine, the capital city looks just as much friendlier. Many Berliners and tourists are drawn to the parks and the Spree River, or they enjoy the first warming rays of sunshine in the city's numerous cafés. However, with an average of eight days in March, it does rain from time to time. Rarely there are also a few snowflakes. At night, temperatures often drop below zero.
