Fashion, accessories, jewelry and household goods: Every Saturday and Sunday, private vendors sell all kinds of junk in front of the district town hall in Schöneberg.
From books, household goods and furniture, toys, old technology and clothing to antique goods, jewelry and knickknacks, you will find a wide assortment of goods at the market stalls. Most of the finds come from household liquidations or from the attics and basements of private individuals. However, there are also some professional vendors who offer their goods at the flea market.
The flea market at Schöneberg district town hall might not be the most beautiful flea market in Berlin. However, its relaxed atmosphere means that vendors are always open to chat and negotiate, so it is possible to score some real bargains here. Those who have had enough of the hustle and bustle can buy a bratwurst from the snack stand in the Rudolph Wilde Park next door.
A pleasant side effect of the flea market: Visitors are seeing a historical location. The little square in front of the town hall is named John-F.-Kennedy-Platz. It was here, in 1963, that the former U.S. president said the famous words: "Ich bin ein Berliner".
