With a value of 360.8, the Coronavirus incidence in Berlin was once again well below the 400 mark on Tuesday.
A week earlier, the incidence had been at around 415. The incidence in the capital thus reflects the nationwide downward trend. According to the situation report of the Berlin Senate, 3173 new infections and five additional deaths were reported. Experts continue to assume a high number of unreported infections, because by far not all infected persons have a PCR test done. Only positive PCR tests count in the statistics.
The other two values recorded in the warning light system also show a downward trend. However, with a hospitalization rate of 16.7, the value remains in the red zone. 6.4 percent of intensive care beds in Berlin hospitals are currently occupied by Covid-19 patients. The corresponding warning light is set to yellow.
