Corona incidence in Berlin decreased slightly again to 766.5 on Sunday (March 13, 2022).
This means that Berlin has the lowest value of all German states for the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days. According to data from the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), the national average was almost twice as high at 1526. However, experts continue to assume that many cases of infection are not even detected or are not recorded in the data because health offices are overburdened.
In Berlin, 1106 new corona infections were recorded. At the weekend, however, the numbers are always lower, because many data are not forwarded. According to the statistics, a total of about 798,000 people have been infected in Berlin since the start of the pandemic two years ago. Another person died in connection with the virus, bringing the number of deaths in Berlin to 4297.
