As the Robert Koch Institute reported, the incidence of Coronavirus in Berlin has gone down again and was at 1719.3 on Monday morning (Feb. 7, 2022).
On Friday, the incidence, which indicates the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days, was still at around 1800; on Monday a week ago it was at 1821. The nationwide incidence was at 1426. Only Bavaria reported higher infection figures than Berlin.
According to the Senate's situation report, the health departments reported 743 registered new infections, keeping in mind that the reported data are usually incomplete on Monday. A total of around 596,000 Berliners have been proven to be infected with Covid-19 since the pandemic began around two years ago. No other Covid-related deaths occurred. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 4135 people in Berlin have died from or with the virus.
