Corona numbers in Berlin continued to rise over the weekend.

Incidence value is 965.3

As reported by the health administration on Sunday (January 16, 2022), the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days was 965.3 - after 956.9 on Saturday. It was the second-highest figure nationwide after Bremen and ahead of Hamburg. Nationwide, the Robert Koch Institute gave this seven-day incidence on Sunday at 515.7. The value was thus above 500 for the first time.

Still no data from Marzahn-Hellersdorf

The Berlin figures still do not include data from Marzahn-Hellersdorf, where there has been a technical malfunction for days. The health administration also pointed out that because of the high number of cases, the so-called hospitalization incidence is incomplete. This refers to hospital admissions per 100,000 people within seven days. It was given as 13.5 on Sunday. Intensive care bed occupancy for covid patients was 18.5 percent. The Senate's warning light showed yellow for that figure.
