Berlin continues to record a significant increase in the incidence of Coronavirus infections.

Incidence rises from 856 to 918

According to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), the value was 918.6 on Thursday, up from 856.4 the previous day. The figure indicates how many new Coronavirus infections per 100,000 inhabitants were registered in the past seven days. Nationwide, the seven-day incidence is currently at 427.7. Compared to other federal states, Berlin has a very high incidence value. According to RKI data, only Bremen has a higher incidence of 1349.2.

13 more deaths reported

7799 new infections were reported in Berlin, bringing the total number of confirmed infections to 381,366 since the start of the pandemic in the spring of 2020. The RKI registered 13 additional deaths related to Covid-19. Since the start of the pandemic, 4058 people have been confirmed to have died from or with the virus in Berlin.
