Nationwide Coronavirus incidence around 400

On Tuesday, the incidence in Berlin was at 737.2. The figure indicates how many new Covid-19 infections per 100,000 inhabitants were registered in the past seven days. In the days after Christmas, the incidence was still below 300. Nationwide, the seven-day incidence is currently at 407.5. Berlin thus has a very high incidence value compared to other federal states. According to the RKI data, only Bremen has a higher incidence of 1296.8.

Over 8800 new cases reported

According to RKI data, 8862 new infections were reported, bringing the number of confirmed infections to 373,566 since the start of the pandemic in spring 2020. The RKI also registered two additional deaths related to Covid-19. 4045 people have been confirmed to have died from or with the virus in Berlin since the start of the pandemic.
