Another two-day warning strike at BVG next week
Local transport in Berlin has largely come to a standstill several times since January - most recently for two days in a row. The next strike has now been announced. more
The House of Representatives unanimously passed a corresponding amendment to the law on Thursday. Up to now, after-school care has cost nothing for pupils in the first two grades. The extension of free fees will come into effect on 1 August. According to estimates by the education administration, about 35,000 pupils will benefit.
