After-school care for pupils in Berlin will soon also be free of charge in the 3rd grade.
The House of Representatives unanimously passed a corresponding amendment to the law on Thursday. Up to now, after-school care has cost nothing for pupils in the first two grades. The extension of free fees will come into effect on 1 August. According to estimates by the education administration, about 35,000 pupils will benefit.
