Shortly before its launch on Monday, the new Deutschlandticket has once again aroused great interest in Berlin.

The Deutschlandticket is valid nationwide for local and regional transport and is sold as a monthly subscription for 49 euros per month. It is issued as a mobile phone ticket or chip card. Until the end of the year, it can also be purchased as a paper ticket with a QR code.

Deutschlandticket available since 20 April

The ticket for May could be ordered online at the Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe until 20 April. Since then, it has only been available at the ticket office. According to BVG, around 500,000 customers have already purchased the ticket. According to the Association of German Transport Companies, there were more than three million customers nationwide.
