Social ticket to be extended by one month

S-Bahn Berlin

The so-called social ticket for public transport, which costs nine euros, will be available for one month longer than previously planned.

This was announced by the Governing Mayor Franziska Giffey (SPD) on Tuesday after the meeting of the Senate. The decision has not yet been made, but is planned to be made on Friday during a special session of the Senate. "The 9-Euro ticket campaign was supposed to end by the end of March," said Giffey. For May 1, there is the prospect of the nationwide 49-euro ticket. This means that there would be a one-month gap between the two ticket campaigns. The Senate has already agreed to take care of this problem.
