The weather remains stormy in Berlin and Brandenburg. On Friday, the German Weather Service (DWD) warns of squalls.
Stormy gusts are expected again between 08 and 20 o'clock. The gusts will reach speeds between 55 km/h and 70 km/h. Near rain showers, wind speeds of 80 to 100 km/h are possible. With temperatures between 2 and 8 degrees Celsius, rain and possible sleet showers are expected around midday. Towards the evening, the rain and wind speed will decrease somewhat.
In view of the stormy winter weather, the Prussian Palaces and Gardens Foundation has urged caution when walking in the parks in Potsdam and elsewhere. "Due to the high risk of tree branches breaking and falling down, citizens should refrain from walking in the parks in this weather if possible, or at least stay on the main paths," said foundation spokesman Frank Kallensee.
