Integrated into the Berliner Festspiele, the Jazzfest Berlin is the crowning finale of every jazz year. Over four days, there is a varied program for all jazz lovers, and not just at the Haus der Berliner Festspiele.

Founded in 1964 as "Jazztage," the festival is one of the oldest jazz festivals in Europe. In 2026, over 130 musicians from more than 25 countries performed at Jazzfest. The festival program was complemented by the free Jazzfest Community Week in Moabit, featuring workshops, neighborhood concerts and lunchtime concerts. The theme was "Dream Baby Dream." Performers included Anthony Braxton, Alexander von Schlippenbach, George Lewis, Aki Takase, Evan Parker and Otomo Yoshihide, among others. The motto for 2027 is not yet known.
