Art sales on three levels
At 832 m², the Art in the Home retail pavilion had the largest sales area of the four retail pavilions on the Karl-Marx-Allee. Goods were also displayed on the basement floor.
The basement retail gallery and the retail areas on the ground and upper floors showcased art, crafts and interior design for the home or as gifts.
The façade elements and the coloured façade ornamentation were largely the same as the three angular retail pavilions on the avenue. There were also variations in the entrance design. Just like the pavilion opposite, the entrance here is part of the masonry axis. In the two pavilions on Schillingstraße, which were built later, the entrances are integrated in a window axis.
