A glass cube for the modern woman

The smallest pavilion on the avenue once sold beauty products and offered cosmetic treatments.

This pavilion stood out from the four angular pavilions on Karl-Marx-Allee.
The square skeleton structure made of reinforced concrete features extensive glazing on three sides and is subdivided by striking aluminium profiles. Its plinth, corners and the rear walls are not multicoloured; they are faced with bright yellow unstructured ceramic tiles.

With its basic shape and use of materials, the retail pavilion formed a visual whole with the large pavilion of Restaurant Moscow.

From the light-suffused former retail area, a staircase leads up to the gallery, which once housed four rooms for cosmetic treatments.
