Under the motto "Our World. Our Heritage. Our Responsibility," Berlin is celebrating Unesco World Heritage Day with exciting activities.

The Unesco World Heritage Day offers a look behind the scenes of the world's most extraordinary buildings. 51 of the world's 1,157 World Heritage Sites are located in Germany, 3 of them in Berlin: Museum Island, the six Berlin Modernist housing estates, and the palaces and parks of Potsdam and Berlin.

Unesco World Heritage Day 2023: Selected Highlights*

  • TFree guided tours of Museum Island: Between 12 noon and 4 p.m. a guided tour starts every 30 minutes.
  • Architectural tour of the House of World Cultures: As part of the Reopneing of the HKW a guided tour starts at 5 pm.
  • Cityscape Safari: In a seven-hour bus tour, participants will visit the future World Heritage neighborhoods in Berlin. The tour starts at 10 a.m.
