Stories About Fabric

Creative Activities for Kids During Summer Break

Three-day summer workshop: July 22–24, 2026 / Wednesday through Friday / 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
What does golden fabric feel like? Who only wears black clothes? And why can fabric be heavy? Inspired by the exhibition “Heavy Fabric,” you’ll embark on a creative journey through the world of extraordinary garments. What stories do they tell, and what stories does your favorite piece of clothing tell? Using sketches, fabrics, and plenty of imagination, you’ll create a book of fabric stories. You’ll invent patterns, craft costumes, and slip into new roles. Old clothes will be transformed into something new—playfully, experimentally, and with lots of patience. Feel free to bring old clothes with you. For children ages 9 to 12.
