Harf Zimmermann is one of the most prominent German practitioners of large-format photography; to this day, he continues to shoot primarily on analog film in various formats. He is a tracker of the unnoticed, of what is often overlooked, a master of seemingly inanimate objects, which he presents to us with a sure hand in light, form, and color as the exciting result of perpetual, living processes—with the same precision with which crime scenes are photographed to make them legible. The title of his exhibition is therefore a tongue-in-cheek reference to what is probably the most frequently uttered phrase in criminal history, with which investigators enter the crime scene: “So, what do we have here?”

The exhibition features a selection of photographs created between November 1994 and February 2026 as part of his worldwide commissions as well as his own artistic projects; most of them are being shown for the first time.

Hours: Thursday to Saturday, 13:00 to 18:00
