Coronavirus incidence in Berlin continues to fall

Corona-Test

The trend continues: Berlin's Coronavirus incidence has been falling for several days. The incidence was at 415.4 on Tuesday.

A week ago, the incidence in Berlin was at around 494. According to the Berlin Senate's situation report, 3866 new infections and three additional deaths were reported on Tuesday. According to the report, the total number of reported Corona infections since the start of the pandemic rose to 1,171,811. The hospitalization rate remained high at 14.5, with the proportion of Covid 19 patients in intensive care units rising from 5.9 percent to 6.6 percent within a week.

Experts suspect high number of unrecorded cases

However, the incidence does not provide a complete picture of the infection situation. Experts continue to assume a high number of cases not recorded by the RKI - especially because by far not all infected persons have a PCR test done. Only positive PCR tests count in the statistics.
