Numerous people in Berlin continue to get infected with the Coronavirus. In the past seven days, there were 1123 infections per 100,000 inhabitants.

This was announced by the Senate on Monday (March 28, 2022). The so-called seven-day incidence was thus slightly higher than on Monday of last week. However, Berlin remains the state with the lowest incidence. The Robert Koch Institute gave a nationwide seven-day incidence of 1700.6 on Monday.

About one in four Berliners was already infected with Covid-19

Almost every eleventh bed in the intensive care units of Berlin hospitals is occupied by patients who have contracted Covid-19. According to the Berlin Senate, 883,280 people have contracted the virus since the pandemic began - about one in four people in Berlin. However, experts assume that a high number of cases are not officially recorded.
