Corona incidence in Berlin increased again to 776 on Saturday (March 12, 2022).

On Friday, the figure was 727 and on Thursday 692. The national average for the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days was significantly higher at 1,496, according to data from the Robert Koch Institute (RKI). In addition, experts assume that there are many cases of infection that are not recorded in the data because health offices are overloaded.

7245 new corona infections recorded

In Berlin, 7245 new corona infections were recorded. According to the statistics, a total of around 797,000 people have been infected since the start of the pandemic two years ago. 2 more people died in connection with the virus, bringing the total number of deaths in Berlin to 4296.
