Weather warning: Strong thunderstorms in the afternoon

Rain jackets and wellies are in order this Saturday: Particularly in the afternoon and evening strong thunderstorms are expected.

According to the forecast of the German Weather Service (DWD), heavy rain, squalls and hail may occur locally. The thunderstorms will move from the southwest of Brandenburg through the Berlin area to the northeast in the afternoon. The weather will bring relief with regard to the risk of forest fires in Brandenburg.

A few thunderstorms possible on Sunday

According to the DWD, temperatures will remain summery over the weekend, with highs of 24 to 27 degrees on Saturday. On Sunday, it will be between 22 and 25 degrees and there should again be isolated thunderstorms. On Monday, it will remain rainy and a little cooler.
