The German Gymnastics Federation (DTB) is hosting the World Championships in rhythmic gymnastics for the fourth time. The Executive Committee of the world federation Fig awarded the 2026 title bouts to Germany. The World Championships in three years' time will take place in Berlin from 30 September to 4 October.

Previously, Germany hosted the RSG World Championships in Munich in 1981, Berlin in 1997 and Stuttgart in 2015. At the upcoming World Championships in Valencia at the end of August, five-time German, World and European champion Darja Varfolomeev from Schmiden is one of the medal candidates. "In view of the current sporting upswing, the RSG title bouts fit perfectly into our concept and will certainly give the sport an additional boost," explained DTB President Alfons Hölzl on Friday.
