People in Berlin and Brandenburg can expect a hot and sunny weekend. The German Weather Service (DWD) issued a heat warning for Sunday.
Temperatures will rise up to 33 degrees on Saturday. Only a few clouds are to be expected. A light wind from the northeast and east may bring some refreshment.
According to meteorologists, the night before Sunday will bring some cooling. Temperatures will drop to 11 degrees. Sunday will also be mostly sunny, with high clouds moving in from the west in the evening. Rain is not expected. The maximum temperatures will be between 31 and 35 degrees. Due to the high heat load, the DWD issued a heat warning. It is recommended to avoid the heat, drink plenty of fluids and keep indoors cool. Cloud cover thickens during the night. Towards morning, local showers with isolated thunderstorms will occur in western Brandenburg. The lowest temperature will be between 16 and 19 degrees.
