The danger of forest fires has increased almost everywhere in Brandenburg. Residents, hikers, campers and vacationers therefore need to exercise special caution.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, the second highest level 4 (high danger) was declared in many places on Friday. Only in the districts of Teltow-Fläming, Oberspreewald-Lausitz and Spree-Neiße, as well as in the city of Cottbus, a medium risk of forest fires with level 3 applied.
The state's forest fire protection officer, Raimund Engel, said there had been ten forest fires in Brandenburg since May. They were quickly identified and quickly extinguished, he said. "This is all still within limits." Saturday is also expected to be warm, with temperatures between 20 and 24 degrees. According to the forecast of the German weather service, it will remain dry. Partly gusty wind should also arise in the afternoon.
