Berlin's Tiergarten Tunnel will be completely closed for five days starting this Monday. The reason is the modernization of the control technology.

This was announced by the Senate Department for Urban Mobility on Thursday. The approximately 20-year-old control technology has to be replaced and modernized. According to the information, the closure will be in effect from Monday morning at 10 am until Friday evening at 6 pm. Both directions of travel and the Invalidenstrasse and Kemperplatz junctions are affected. Above-ground access to the Berlin Hauptbahnhof parking garage via Clara-Jaschke-Strasse will continue to be possible. The city recommends avoiding the area as far as possible.
