At the beginning of the year, Berlin's König Galerie is showing "Do you know how to pray?", the first major solo exhibition by Nigerian artist Dennis Osadebe.

The exhibition consists of six new paintings, three stained glass pieces and a sculpture created by the Lagos-based artist especially for the show in Berlin. Osadebe has developed a unique visual language populated by figures wearing masks and routinely staring at the viewer. The concept behind this new body of work is a question that has preoccupied Osadebe for years and has led to an exploration of belief systems, religion, and the nature of prayer.
