The Greek Film Festival wants to bring often still unknown Greek filmmakers into the focus of the German audience.
This year's festival will focus in particular on the perspectives of young filmmakers. The themes of diversity, openness and freedom are a common thread running through the entire program.
From over 300 films submitted, 33 productions will be shown over the course of the festival in Berlin's Babylon, including feature films, documentaries, short films and special screenings. Six of these are international premieres, 18 German premieres and three Berlin premieres. A unique opportunity to introduce German audiences to the diversity of Greek cinema. This year's opening film is Stelios by Yorgos Tsemberopoulos.
