The Afrikamera film festival promotes contemporary African cinema and young African filmmakers in the German capital.

The aim of the Afrikamera film festival is to promote the presence of current African films in the capital.
Contemporary cinema from Africa has experienced an upswing in recent years. Film festivals are playing an increasingly important role in the production and distribution of these films. An increasing number of festivals and film schools have been founded in the last decade. They create a platform for young African filmmakers to develop and realize their own visions of African cinema.

African Movies, African Cultures

With an annually changing thematic focus, the festival deals with issues that move young African filmmakers. The 2024 motto is “Believe”.
