LGBT Park Festival

Volkspark Friedrichshain Berlin

The LGBT Park Festival (LesBiSchwules Parkfest) on the grounds of the open-air cinema in Volkspark Friedrichshain will take place for the 26th time in 2025.

Since 1998, the LGBT Festival has been held here every August in Volkspark Friedrichshain, one of the largest inner-city parks created specifically for Berliners to relax. Up to 6,000 visitors come here to enjoy the diverse entertainment program on picnic blankets and learn about gay and lesbian life in Berlin at the many information booths. Nevertheless, the park festival has managed to retain its atmosphere of a casual neighborhood gathering. This is where many gays and lesbians come to get the last helping of the CSD season and more and more are also coming with their strollers.

Promoting Tolerance and Fighting Discrimination

As an event, the LGBT Park Festival stands for tolerance and speaks out clearly against discrimination against gays and lesbians - not through long speeches, but by offering a diverse stage program, numerous information booths and the necessary space to talk to friendly people of all genders and sexual orientations.
