Hohenschönhausen: Residential Areas & Infrastructure

Hohenschönhausen is a purely residential district without a lot of nightlife and with hardly any trade or industry. However, it is a great place to live for families with children.

Residential Areas

Hohenschönhausen features idyllic village-like neighborhoods and large prefabricated housing estates in equal measure. Its landscape parks and allotment gardens make the district very green and close to nature.

Location

Hohenschönhausen is located in the northeast of Berlin and borders on Brandenburg in the far north.

Public Transport

The district is served by an S-Bahn line - the S75 to Wartenberg - as well as several tram and bus lines.

Traffic Axes

The main traffic axes are Malchower Dorfstraße (B2), Hansastraße/Falkenberger Chaussee/Dorfstraße/Ahrensfelder Chaussee, Konrad-Wolf-Straße/Hauptstraße/Wartenberger Straße and Rhinstraße.
