Dazzling Killmen have announced their reformation and a return to live performances. Founding members Nick Sakes (vocals, guitar) and Blake Fleming (drums, later of The Mars Volta) will perform together for the first time in 30 years, joined by bassist Evan Jagels and guitarist Ben Greenberg of Uniform. Formed in the St. Louis area in 1990, Dazzling Killmen originally consisted of vocalist/guitarist Nick Sakes alongside jazz students Blake Fleming and bassist Darin Gray. The band released four singles, a live cassette and two full-length albums before officially disbanding in 1995, with most of their catalog released on the influential independent label SKiN GRAFT Records. Drawing equally from hardcore punk and jazz, Dazzling Killmen have long been cited by critics and peers as a key influence on the development of math rock and post-metal.
