The East Side Tour focuses on the best-known sights along the river Spree in the eastern part of Berlin and includes highlights in the government quarter.
This 2.5-hour-cruise on the river Spree starts in the city centre near Hackescher Markt S-Bahn station and follows the Spree towards the east. The tour can also be booked in two parts.
Route section 1: From pier "Alte Börse" to East-Side-Gallerie
On part 1 the tour leads in 75 minutes from the pier "Alte Börse" in eastern direction, past the Humboldtforum and the Nikolai quarter through the Mühlendamm lock, past various embassies, through the Oberbaumbrücke, through the Osthafen with bathing ship and Molecule Man to the port of Treptow. In front of the peninsula Alt Stralau the ship turns around and sails through the Oberbaumbrücke to the landing stage "East-Side-Gallerie/Ostbahnhof".
Route section 2: From East-Side-Gallerie to pier "Alte Börse"
The section (2) of the berlin river cruise starts at the landing stage "East-Side-Gallery". The tour leads back to the centre of Berlin and into the Nikolai quarter, passing the Humboldtforum and the Museum Island. Afterwards the tour takes you through the Parliament and Government Quarter with its Reichstag building and the Federal Chancellery.
