Plötzensee is located in the district of Wedding near the Rehberge public park. Its lido offers numerous leisure activities.

The heart of the area surrounding the lake in Wedding is the Plötzensee lido. It offers a café in the entrance building, a sandy beach, a children's playground as well as several sports fields where visitors can play volleyball, table tennis or football. Outside the lido, numerous green areas and sunbathing lawns invite visitors to relax.

Swimming in Plötzensee

The Plötzensee lido offers the best conditions for swimmers and bathers. From the sandy beach, you can reach the water quickly and comfortably. Nudism is allowed inside a special limited area.

Facts about Plötzensee

Lake Plötzensee is about 19 acres in size and reaches a maximum depth of about 7 meters. In 1891, an army sports facility became the first swimming pool at Plötzensee. The entrance building of the lido was built between 1926 and 1928 and is a listed monument.
