Berlin may not officially be the city of love, but it's definitely a great place to smooch. Here are the twelve best places to kiss, snog, and smooch in the capital.
Kissing is good for the soul and body. It gives you butterflies in your stomach, strengthens the immune system, and exercises the facial muscles. Twelve places in Berlin that are particularly good for kissing.
Art and kisses combined. Who doesn't know those wonderful long dates? A coffee together turns into a walk, followed by a spontaneous visit to a museum and then a glass of wine. Berlin's Museum Island has a lot to offer art and culture enthusiasts and is also one of the most romantic places in Berlin. Ideal for ending the evening.
People say that the Jacob-und-Wilhelm-Grimm-Zentrum is all about finding partners. In fact, it's amazing how attractive some people make themselves in order to learn. If you haven't found anyone to kiss yet, you can take a look around there. The first kiss might then follow in the poetry department.
Honecker and Brezhnev show how it's done – everyone else can follow suit. If you want to know what true passion looks like, a visit to the East Side Gallery in Berlin is just the thing.
The bridge - a symbol of two parts connected by the bridge to form a whole, yet remaining separate. Sounds like an ideal relationship between two people - at least an ideal place to make out. The night sky above the Warschauer Brücke is particularly beautiful, especially when the moon is full. And with a little luck, you can indulge in love with a street music concert in the background.
How about this: after a night of partying, at 7 a.m. on a Sunday morning, quickly head to the Prinzenbad, hold your breath, dive under, and kiss! Of course, you can also do this when you're well rested and at other times, but if you want to avoid getting kicked in the eye by a child, it's advisable to go outside of peak hours.
For true romantics: What could be more romantic than the gentle lapping of water beneath your feet and lush greenery all around you? The waterfall in Viktoriapark offers numerous beautiful spots for lip contact. If kissing makes you too hot, you can cool your feet in the water.
The Friedrichshain Open-Air Cinema not only shows great arthouse films, but is also surrounded by the Volkspark with lots of beautiful corners where you can retreat for a snog. Insider tip: Save some popcorn and sit down with it at the Märchenbrunnen after the movie.
Whether it's a quick peck or a wet smacker, even the most beautiful kiss eventually ends and threatens to fade into a distant memory. So why not press the pause button on life and capture that fleeting moment? Photo booths can be found all over Berlin, including at Warschauer Platz and Hermannstraße in Neukölln. In less than a square meter, you are forced to get close to each other, with a curtain providing a little privacy. A moment for eternity. All that remains is to hope that the young couple doesn't argue over who gets to keep the photo strip...
On Berlin's rooftops, you can often cross entire blocks of houses and choose the best - and most undisturbed - spot to watch the sunset or sunrise. That is, assuming you can still see anything while gazing into each other's eyes... If necessary, the official viewpoints will do.
Well, the darkroom at Berghain is perhaps not particularly romantic, and communal activities often go well beyond just kissing. Nevertheless, wild club kissing definitely falls into the category of "things you should try at least once."
You have to look around a bit at Gesundbrunnen to discover the beautiful Volkspark Humboldthain next door, where you can spend an hour or two kissing among the rose bushes. It's really worth climbing to the top of the park, where you can look out over the whole city and watch beautiful sunsets.
No money for the luxury suite at the Adlon? No problem. Just walk confidently hand in hand past the doorman of a luxury hotel, sink into one of the sofas together, and get started. Thrills guaranteed!
