As part of our opening weekend, we invite you to our first Late Night on 29 August. Dance until 4.00 am on our main stage, overlooking the vast, empty auditorium, and experience how the opera house transforms into a space where club culture, art, and political visions come togetger. Places are limited and the artistic experience of this evening is one-of-a-kind.

Our first Late Night event will be organized – at the invitation of Rirkrit Tiravanija, who is curating the opening weekend – by the artist collective OMSK Social Club. OMSK sees itself as an experiment at the intersection of art, politics, and life. OMSK Social Club’s new work shifts the perspective: it brings a group of ravers onto the stage of the Deutsche Oper and places them right in the heart of the building’s architecture, its lines of sight, and its boxes. Something shifts. Sound seeps through the opera’s archive and the club’s frequencies. A live document unfolds from within the event itself. Be open to conspiratorial messages, impulses, and a live performance that unfolds over the course of the evening – with no specific starting point and no guaranteed path through it – and dance with us until the early morning!

At night, boundaries lose their meaning. That is why Late Night, with its experimental constellations and utopian ideas, is the ideal format for our Unlimited division.
