Making its German debut on July 24 and 25, the Water Lantern Festival is coming to Germany for the first time, transforming Berlin’s Britzer Garten into an atmospheric open-air experience filled with light, reflection, and shared moments during the peak of the summer vacation season. Visitors can look forward to a diverse experience featuring live music, curated food offerings from local vendors, and recreational activities in an environment that invites you to pause and enjoy the moment together.

The festival centers around a traditional ritual: visitors can write down personal messages, wishes, thoughts, or words of gratitude before setting their eco-friendly water lanterns adrift on the lake. This symbolic moment invites visitors to pause, let go, and consciously savor special moments. Sustainability is also at the heart of the concept. Every detail of the festival has been designed with the environment in mind—from eco-friendly sound systems and sustainable water lanterns to consistent zero-waste practices.
