Ten times - from 2020 to 2029 - one hour of readings & music on the birthday of Moses Mendelssohn.

At the floor sculpture Haus Mendelssohn, Spandauer Straße 68, between the Luther memorial and Micha Ullman's Mendelssohn memorial, until the 300th anniversary of Mendelssohn's birthday in 2029Edgar Selge reads from essays, translations and letters by the philosopher and silk merchant. With interjections by Friedrich Nietzsche, John Lennon and Ernesto Cardenal, interjected by Franziska Walser, and Markus Behrsing, saxophone. Music: John Lennon, Johann Sebastian Bach, Franz Schubert, Leonard Cohen and others.Ullman's sculpture includes a replica of the original memorial plaque embedded in the floor of the house: "In this house lived and worked immortal Moses Mendelssohn born 1729 in Dessau died 1786 in Berlin".
