Dem jüngsten Müllerssohn bleibt als Erbe nur ein Kater. Er will sich aus dem Kater Pelz Handschuhe machen lassen, doch der Kater überredet ihn, ihm Stiefel machen zu lassen. Mitspieltheater für die ganze Familie.

Mit seinen Stiefeln stiftet der Kater einige Verwirrung, fädelt aber alles so geschickt ein, dass am Ende der ehemals arme Müllerssohn reich ist und die Prinzessin zur Braut bekommt.
