Scenes from Georg Büchner's *Woyzeck* in the garden of the Ceramics Museum

Students bring their own interpretations of the play “Woyzeck” to the stage. Presentations by second-semester students and students in the elective course in directing at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music.
Works by Joris Brauburger, Fynn Hoffmann, and Paul Paatz. Mentor: Prof. Corinna von Rad.

Seven years ago, the fruitful collaboration between the Hanns Eisler School of Music (HfM) and the Berlin Ceramics Museum (KMB) began. Since then, the HfM has held annual open-air performances in the museum’s idyllic garden:

2020: >Scenes from Goethe’s “Faust,” Act 3<, a performance by vocal students

2021: >Peer Gynt<, based on Henrik Ibsen, in an adaptation and German translation with musical interludes

2022: >Lulu<, a tragedy by Frank Wedekind. An adaptation of selected scenes, staged by bachelor’s students

2023: >Spring Awakening<, a drama by Frank Wedekind. A theatrical evening by second-semester students in the Directing program

2024: >Gretchen’s Tragedy<, based on Goethe. Second-semester presentation in three parts and three concepts, directed by directing students.

2025: Scenes from >As You Like It< by William Shakespeare. Second-semester presentation by directing students.Translated with DeepL
