The exhibition, whose title is based on a song from the 2020 album "Hermitage" by Canadian singer-songwriter Ron Sexsmith, is intended to subtly but clearly demonstrate that it is worth pursuing one's own perspective in every life situation, every social or political challenge that people face. This means facing the world with expectation, not giving up - regardless of one's current state of mind. The song line underlines the complexity in which human existence asserts itself in the world, but also the diversity of artistic views and aesthetic orientations.

The exhibition shows works by Berlin-based artists from the fields of painting, sculpture, video and sound that deal with themes ranging from resistance to tyranny, anger and defense against gestures of power to poetic strategies of de-escalation. It offers a wide range of attitudes that are characterized by a high level of attention to current political events.
