Pieter Bruegel d.Ä., Die Imker (Detail), 2. Drittel 16. Jh.

In the second half of 2026, the expert discussions at the Kupferstichkabinett will focus on the rich collection of 16th-century Dutch drawings and prints. Following this—and in conjunction with the special exhibition “Rubens, Jordaens, van Dyck: Flemish Master Drawings” (opening October 10, 2026)—the series will shift its focus to works from the 17th century in the Northern Netherlands for comparison.
In small groups, selected masterpieces will be presented in the Kupferstichkabinett’s seminar room and, in the truest sense of the word, “examined under a magnifying glass.” The discussions will be led by Britta Bode or Thomas R. Hoffmann.
